Pregnancy and childbirth
The CISSS des Laurentides is adjusting its original plans and announcing that the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache Birthing Unit will temporarily move to the Hôpital de Saint-Jérôme. This relocation will take effect on December 12, 2025 at 8:00 AM and last about three months.
As a reminder, the initial announcement was for the Birthing Unit to be temporarily moved to the Cité-de-la-Santé in Laval as of December 5. However, thanks to the exceptional mobilisation of the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache and Hôpital de Saint-Jérôme gynecologist-obstetricians, birthing physicians, and healthcare teams, the services of the Saint-Eustache Birthing Unit will be maintained for an extra week before relocating to Saint-Jérôme rather than Laval.
Pregnant women will continue to receive to same personalised care from the same teams, only in a different location.
No action is required on the part of pregnant women who have planned to give birth at the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache. They will be informed by the healthcare professional monitoring their pregnancy.
For more information, consult the Labor and birth page.
