Pregnancy follow-up

I'M PREGNANT, I REGISTER!

You just learned you are pregnant? Sign up for the Ma grossesse support service. It provides pregnant women living in Québec with access to the information and professional help they need during pregnancy.

To be followed during your pregnancy, we also recommend that you consult with your doctor or first-line specialized nurse practitioner. Your health professional will give you all the documents you need for your first appointment at the CLSC.

If you do not have a doctor, consult the following list according to the hospital where you would like to deliver your baby:

Midwifery services

The team at the Maison de naissance du Boisé-de-Blainville offers comprehensive pregnancy, delivery and postnatal support. These services are offered by the CISSS des Laurentides and are covered by Québec's health insurance (RAMQ).

Midwives consider pregnancy and birth to be natural processes that do not require any particular intervention. They provide women with support throughout the process. This type of follow-up can be provided to women with problem-free pregnancies.

PROCESS

If you wish to be followed during your pregnancy by the team at the Maison de naissance du Boisé-de-Blainville, you must complete this online form (in French only) to verify your eligibility.

Once you have completed the form, you will be contacted by phone to complete your file. Your name will then be added to a waiting list. Once your follow-up is confirmed, you will be invited to an information meeting.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Given the high demand for pregnancy follow-up at the birth centre, we recommend that you complete the online form as soon as you learn of your pregnancy.
  • We also suggest that future parents start their pregnancy follow-up with a physician, in parallel with their follow-up with a midwife, since places are limited and follow-up cannot be guaranteed.

Birth plan

We are happy to accompany you through this unique experience—the birth of your child. We propose this birth plan so that you can communicate your expectations and concerns to us in greater detail.

We encourage you to discuss your birth plan with your physician, nurse or midwife, and then give it to the nurse when you arrive at the birthing centre.
