STAND UP! Is led by a qualified professional who has been trained for this program. Movements are safe and adapted to the abilities of seniors. The exercises improve your balance and strength.

Did you know that one third of people aged 65 and over fall at least once a year?

The STAND UP! Program is a group exercise program aimed at people aged 65 and over who are afraid of falling or who have fallen recently. It is designed to improve balance and muscular strength, and provides advice to prevent falls at home. The program is provided free by our health care professionals and takes place twice a week for 12 weeks.

Content of group sessions:

  • Balance and strengthening exercises
  • Fall prevention information sheets
  • Exercise program to do at home 

Eligibility requirements:

  • Aged 65 and over
  • Have fallen during the past year or fear falling
  • Autonomous and living at home
  • Motivated to follow a group program twice a week for 12 weeks
