ACCESS PROGRAM
Access programs are the mechanism whereby the legislative guarantee of access to English-language health and social services for the English speaking population is enforced.
Section 76 of the Act to modify the organization and governance of the health and social services network, in particular by abolishing the regional agencies:
- Each public institution must, in the centres it indicates, develop a program of access to English-language health services and social services for the English-speaking population it serves.
- The program must identify the English language services that are available in the indicated facilities.
- The program must take into account the institution’s human, physical and financial resources.
The current program can be found here:
The 2020-2025 program is undergoing a final evaluation by the Minister of Health and Social Services. It will be made public as soon as it is adopted by the National Assembly.
