BREAST CANCER
SCREENING AND PREVENTION
The Québec Breast Cancer Screening Program (PQDCS) offers women aged between 50 and 69 a mammogram every two years. Eligible women receive a letter in the mail inviting them to go to a designated screening centre for a mammogram.
To learn more, consult the Québec Breast Cancer Screening Program website.
Visit one of our breast clinics
The breast clinics at the Hôpital régional de Saint-Jérôme and the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache are cancer screening centres and work with patients who were referred by their family doctors.
When they arrive, patients are initially met by a nurse. The nurse will explain how the appointment and investigative examinations will be conducted. A social worker and a psychologist are available if support is needed.
