Why get vaccinated?

Vaccines cause the body to create defenses called antibodies. The antibodies then protect the vaccinated person when they come into contact with the disease. This is the human body’s totally natural protective reaction.

Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and others against certain serious diseases. Some of these diseases have no medical treatment. By getting vaccinated, we also reduce the transmission of contagious diseases.

Recognize a credible source of information

There are many sources of information about health: internet sites, TV shows, magazines, information media, social media such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. However, credible sources of information are sometimes drowned out by sources that have no recognized scientific basis and may even contain misleading information. Make sure you always get your information from a reliable source.

A reliable source of information ⇓

  • Clearly states its mission and goal.
  • Provides recent information based on sound science, and approved by recognized organizations and experts.
  • Indicates the groups or organizations that fund it and their contact information, if applicable.
