Breastfeeding stories

Every breastfeeding story is unique. Here are a few that were impacted in some way by breastfeeding services offered. In the form of photostories, we are sharing these touching and authentic stories with you (in French only).

Baby-Friendly Initiative (BFI)

The Baby-Friendly Initiative (BFI) is a program of the World Health Organization and UNICEF, implemented in the CISSS des Laurentides’ health facilities. Under this program, the CISSS des Laurentides has developed a politique d’alimentation infantile (breastfeeding policy) (in French only) that seeks to provide quality care and support in order to promote, support and protect maternal breastfeeding.

Several CISSS des Laurentides facilities are BFI accredited:

  • CLSC de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts
  • CLSC Thérèse-De Blainville
  • CLSC de Tremblant
  • Centre multiservices de santé et de services sociaux de Sainte-Agathe (anciennement Hôpital Laurentien)
  • CLSC Jean-Olivier-Chénier
