Accommodation in an intermediate (RI) or family-style (RTF) resource

These types of residential facilities provide support and assistance services for individuals who require supervision. They are under contract with a public institution.

The costs of the services are covered jointly by the public institution that signed the contract with the resource and the person who receives the services.

Housing costs are borne in part by the patient through the payment of a contribution to the public institution. The Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec determines the amount of the financial contribution based on the type of resource.
