  • Visits are permitted with certain restrictions (exclusion criteria). A maximum of 2 people (visitors orinformal caregivers) at a time from a single household are allowed per resident, maintaining a distance of 2 metres..

Residential long-term care facility (CHSLD) experiencing an outbreak 

  • No visitors allowed.
  • In the case of a localised outbreak in the facility, visitors may be authorized, under certain conditions, to access COVID-free units in the facility. Persons planning a visit should confirm with the facility that they are authorized to do so before going.
  • Informal caregivers who provide significant help or support to residents may be allowed continued access to the facility, provided they meet specific conditions in order to do so.

 

For all other persons providing care or services in the facility (healthcare professionals, carers hired by residents’ families, volunteers, persons paid to provide leisure activities)

  • Access is allowed.

Residential long-term care facility (CHSLD) experiencing an outbreak 

  • Healthcare professionals (dentists, dental hygienists, hearing aid specialists, etc.) may access a facility that is experiencing an outbreak, but only in COVID-free zones, if the outbreak is localised.
